From acclaimed filmmaker Raymond Red comes this story about Macario Sakay, founder of the revolutionary group Republika ng Katagalugan (Tagalog Republic), who took up where the Katipuneros left off after the arrest of Emilio Aguinaldo in 1901. Refusing to accept the Yankees plan for benevolent assimilation, Sakay (Julio Diaz) became the new leader of the Katipuneros and continued to lead insurgent activities against the Americans until his eventual surrender an execution in 1907.
