Rizal: His Legacy to Philippine Society was born out of the authors’ collective experience in teaching Rizal in the academe. It is delightful to know and write the biography of such an exceptional man. His life has been highly documented of all heroes in Asia. Most of his essays and poems were dedicated to the Filipino youth, and so the authors hope that college students of today will be able to emulate our National Hero – his character particularly his respect and love for his parents, his compassion, moral excellence, unparalleled leadership, and his deep love of country.
